Mini City + Equifax
In 2022, Mini City partnered with Equifax to offer the ability to instantly validate identity documents and identifiable information. Prior to this update, the average time to obtain vital records and subsequent government benefits was 2 - 4 weeks with the Mini City software. Mini City will now utilize Equifax-enabled APIs to validate identity instantly.
Working with one of the world’s largest global data, analytics, and technology companies (Equifax) will enable Mini City to validate identity in a manner that protects citizen data and minimizes risk as the company scales.

Now that our software can verify identity, such as a social security number, photo identification, and more in mere seconds, we are really poised to remove unnecessary and logistical barriers faced by our nation’s most vulnerable citizens.”
In winning Equifax’s Developer Challenge, Mini City was able to leverage Equifax Cloud™-enabled APIs through the guidance of Equifax mentors, executives and the Equifax product sandbox. The program, hosted by the 1871 Chicago Innovation Hub, is designed to challenge software developers to create transformative solutions designed to foster financial inclusion and improve access to services with the powerful suite of Equifax Cloud™-enabled Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Mini City is looking forward to utilizing the Equifax APIs to not only unlock, but validate, identification. Equifax's APIs are used by state, federal, employment, insurance, and countless other infrastructures.
